In a surprising turn of events, Ericka, a confident and independent woman, decided to celebrate self-love by organizing a unique ceremony where she formally married herself.
“I think different people use different terms, self-partnership, self-marriage. But yeah, I’m married to myself because I think that’s where every relationship begins.
And also, there’s so much pressure to be with someone else to prove that you’re okay and that nothing is wrong with you.
And I think that’s a pretty awful reason to be with someone else. So, I partnered up. I’ve often heard since I left my marriage that I’m a “catch.”
The unconventional event included heartfelt vows, a beautifully decorated venue adorned with flowers, and a gathering of close friends and family who wholeheartedly supported Samantha’s journey of self-affirmation and empowerment.
